Parks and Recreation in Shorewood

There are 16 Parks located within Shorewood. These parks offer many great recreational facilities for residents to enjoy. Shorewood 4 Seasons Park (West Seil Road) covers 50 acres. Towne Center Park (Wynstone Drive) is a favorite during the warmer months. Residents can cool off in the splash pad, enjoy a music concert at the outdoor amphitheater, and have fun on the playground. Minooka Community Consolidated School District #201 operates elementary, intermediate, and junior high schools within Shorewood, Minooka, and Joliet. Walnut Trails Elementary School (301 Wynstone Drive), within this district, is conveniently located within Shorewood. The other elementary school district is Troy Community Consolidated School District 30-C, which operates elementary, intermediate, and junior high schools in Shorewood, Joliet, and Plainfield. There are several K-4 schools in this district that are located right in Shorewood, including Crossroads Elementary (210 East Black Road), Hofer Elementary (910 Vertin Boulevard), and Shorewood Elementary (210 School Road).
