    A community-wide effort to help neighbors in need
    Join Community Christian Church, Plainfield United Methodist Church, Hope United Methodist Church, St. Mary Immaculate Parish, the Village of Plainfield, and other community organizations in The BIG SERVE Change the World, a weekend celebration of community service. You choose who and how to help. There are plenty of projects for people of all skill levels and ages, so your whole family can join in the fun!
    Stop by the Library from 2:00 to 3:30 to send joy to a hospitalized child or the elderly by creating handmade cards and letters for the Cards for Hospitalized Kids and Love for the Elderly charities. Click here to sign up.

    Green Village Series: Vegetable and Herb Gardening

    Are you ready to produce a healthy and vigorous vegetable and herb garden? Instructor Kausi Chandran provides environmentally safe ideas for preparing the soil, fertilizing, pest control and maintenance. The Green Village Series is in partnership with the Village of Plainfield.
    The Library is Accepting Donations for Movers for Moms
    From Now until May 10
    Every spring TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® collects donations for women and children in need and delivers them to local shelters on or before Mother’s Day. Check out their website for more information on this great program!
    Community Helpers Storytime
    Wednesday, May 10, 10:00 am
    Read stories, sing fun songs, and learn about some of our favorite community helpers. All ages. Please register each child and adult attending.

    Senator Bertino-Tarrants’s Pet Expo

    Saturday, May 13, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
    Senator Bertino-Tarrant and the Plainfield Park District are hosting a FREE, fun and educational event for animal lovers and families. The event will take place at Clow Stephens Dog Park, 16676 S. Lily Cache Rd. Local animal businesses and organizations will be on hand to showcase their services. Information will also be distributed to attendees regarding recent animal legislation. Anyone going to the FREE pet expo is encouraged to bring their pets.
